Hi, we’re Ryan and Amie Laurence and we have been entrusted with the great honor of managing the Louisiana location for Petrali Roofing. Our goal when coming down here was to bring the same family atmosphere and culture of quality and integrity to the good folks of Louisiana. Please take a moment to learn a little bit more about us.
We met while both working for Petrali Roofing in Colorado Springs, CO. Amie was the Production and Office Manager and Ryan, a Roof Consultant. When Hurricane Laura made landfall in August of 2020, Ryan felt called to come home and help his family and community rebuild. As emergency tarping and roof replacement calls came pouring in, it was clear that he was going to need some help managing the workload and after prayerful consideration, Amie decided to pack a bag and head down to assist in the rebuilding efforts and manage the day-to-day operations. And what was originally going to be a few months of assisting family and friends turned into a permanent relocation for us both. At this point, we had only been dating a few months but as we worked closely together, our relationship grew, we got engaged, and were married shortly after in May of 2021! When Hurricane Ida hit New Orleans in August of 2021, we were able to quickly spring into action and assist in the rebuilding efforts in that area as well. We feel honored to be able to manage and grow Petrali Roofing in Louisiana and we are excited to continue to establish roots and grow our family here too.
Ryan served in the US Army right out of high school as a 35 Delta – air traffic control equipment repairer. After serving 5 years, he decided to pursue a career as an electrician and was able to use his skills throughout Louisiana over the course of 15 years, even performing work on the L&G plant in Lake Charles. Ryan moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 to attend Charis Bible College and was able to work as an electrician for a reputable electrician there as well. Ryan was introduced to the world of roofing through a good friend that he’d met through Bible College and started as a salesman for another company in 2013. Ryan juggled both jobs for a year before making the decision to transition completely into roofing in 2014. Through Charis Bible College, Ryan knew several people who worked at Petrali Roofing and finally made the decision to come to work for them in May of 2020.
Amie graduated college in Minnesota with an elementary education degree with a specialty in early childhood. She taught 4th and 5th grade in Minneapolis, MN and Kansas City, MO before the Lord called her to attend Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs in July 2011. Like Ryan, Amie got connected to Petrali Roofing through the Bible College. Within a week of setting foot on Colorado soil, she met the Petrali’s and she truly believes they are a gift that the Lord brought to her. Amie’s friendship with the Petrali’s continued to grow and after 7 years, they eventually offered her a job as Production and Office Manager in their office where she worked for over 2 years before permanently relocating to help Ryan manage the Louisiana location.
A little more about Ryan & Amie:
- Ryan was born and raised in Lake Charles and graduated from Barbe High School in 1997
- Amie was born and raised in Rogers, Minnesota where the winters can be long and cold…. Needless to say, Louisiana winters have not disappointed!
- Ryan and Amie enjoy seafood and wish crawfish weren’t seasonal
- Being on the water makes Ryan and Amie happy and they have been fortunate to buy a home in Sulphur, LA, right on the water
- Boating, fishing, and trapping crabs are their favorite water activities
- Ryan and Amie love Jesus, He makes their life go round – They attend Victory Worship Center in Sulphur and would love to see you there!

We’ve established great relationships with local suppliers and crews and we are ready to assist with all of your roofing needs and while our office is in Sulphur and we’ve done many jobs in and around the area, we also work throughout Louisiana including the Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans areas, among others. From repairs and emergency mitigation/tarping to full roof replacements, we have the knowledge and experience to handle any project, big or small. We work quickly to do an in-person inspection, address your concerns, and put together an estimate for any work that is needed, all at no cost to you! Once you approve the estimate, we’ll work hard to ensure that you have a quality roof over your head that will protect your home for years to come and you can rest assured that we’ll still be around to ensure that it does.
